Automation Engineer (m/f/d) in Solothurn

Aufgaben

Design and Programming of PLC/SCADA Systems: Develop and implement control systems using Siemens and Rockwell products for PLCs, as well as SCADA systems such as Intouch, Siemens, and GIP
Creation of Software and System Documentation: Prepare and manage documentation according to internal company guidelines, including preparing documentation for project execution with customers
Develop, Simulate, and Test Control Software: Work on complete systems, pumps, filtration systems, and full-scale plants. Transform process designs into PLC and SCADA solutions, supporting scaling and instrumentation
Automation Support During Commissioning: Provide on-site support, mainly in the USA, after two years
Execute Function and Quality Controls: Perform adjustments, optimizations, and maintenance work on systems
Handle Customer Support Inquiries: Analyze problems, search for solutions, and troubleshoot issues on a project basis

Qualifikationen

Technical Graduate Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Industrial IT, or related fields such as Application IT with monitoring and SQL databases
Relevant Experience: 3-5 years of experience in automation technology, instrumentation, or control technology, preferably in manufacturing industries
Technical Skills: Proficiency in C#, .NET, Windows Server Administration, and familiarity with Siemens and Rockwell products. Strong troubleshooting skills for complex systems
Industry Knowledge: Experience in continuous processes in fields like gas, water, pharma, or similar, ideally with knowledge of quality control and specifications in V-models
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills, with the ability to travel internationally (50%, mainly USA). Fluent in English; German and French are a plus
